Things I’m Loving…

It’s been a while since I’ve shared some of my favorites so I thought I’d talk about some of the things I’m loving lately. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, but here’s what is at the top of my list these days!

Califia Farms Coffee Creamer – last week when I talked about Intermittent Fasting, I got several questions about how to not break your fast with your morning coffee if you don’t drink it black. I know for years I looked for an alternative to half & half for my coffee. My dad has a dairy allergy and I don’t seem to do well with it either so I try to limit it when I can. But coffee is as much of a ritual as it is necessary for caffeine and while I can tolerate a cup of black, I just don’t really enjoy it.

But I also do not like anything sweet in my coffee, so soy creamer and most other non dairy options never worked for me. And then I discovered Califia’s coffee creamer. I think it was an easy transition for me because I had been drinking black when I found it but I love that it gives me back a creamier coffee. And because it only has 15 kCals for 2T, I don’t worry about it breaking my fast. (I also put cinnamon in my coffee grounds to cut the bitter of my coffee.) So far the only place I have been able to find it is Whole Foods.

Vans Crackers – Hmmm. I sort of have a love/hate relationship with these crackers. I cannot keep them in the house because I cannot stop eating them!!!! I love a good, crunchy snack and only buy these when I really have a craving but oh my goodness, y’all, they are the best GF cracker around. If you are having a crunchy craving, get these but be warned, you might be tempted to eat the whole box in one sitting!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream – I have to give credit to my friend for posting about this one. I have really dry skin, but also super sensitive so I’m always hesitant to try new products. However, I’ve been hearing so many good things about hyaluronic acid and how important it is for aging skin. Since this was a good budget option, I decided to give it a try. I have had no skin irritations and I love the way it makes my face feel. And it was less than $20. Y’all, don’t be afraid to shop your beauty products at the drugstore. So many brands are doing a great job keeping up with the big brands these days!

Perrier Slim Can – My husband came home this summer with these adorable little cans and I’m hooked. I made the switch from soda to seltzer several years ago. Perrier is my favorite because it is super bubbly and these cans are the perfect size.  I love popping one open with lunch. My favorite flavor is grapefruit, but we love the lime too.

bathsalts.png

Lavender Epsom Salts – I love a hot bath and since we have a cast iron tub, the water stays nice and warm for a good long soak. But baths are very drying to the skin and I already have super dry skin. When I take a bath, I love to add lavender epsom salts. They smell amazing and the salts are so good for a tired, achy body. In fact, there are amazing benefits in general to using epsom salts in your bath. It’s a great way to end the day and I highly recommend it. I always moisturize as soon as I get out!

O’Keefe’s Foot Cream – Speaking of dry skin, I really struggle with cracked feet in the winter. Thankfully, a friend recently recommended O’Keefe’s to me and it has made a world of difference! I always apply this to my feet, especially my heels just before bed and my feet are in such better shape because of it. They make one for your hands too!

So there you have it – I told you it was a bit of a mixed bag but I thought they were worth sharing. What are you loving lately? I’d love to hear in the comments!
