Monogram Monday

Graduation gifts are always tricky. You want to do something unique. But practical. But also fun. And buying for guys vs. girls becomes even trickier. It doesn’t take long to really blow the budget when you try to tick all of the boxes. But my sister recently told me that the monogrammed laundry bags I gave her son 3 years ago when he graduated from high school are probably his most used gifts of all. I was thrilled to hear that they are getting so much use.

I have quite a selection of colors (including a nice orange and blue for my Auburn friends) and I would love to personalize a bag for you. Obviously these bags are great for college kids, but they are also fantastic for summer camp or to throw in the family suitcase for weekend getaways (anyone else out there ever tried stuffing their entire family’s dirties in the little plastic bag the hotel leaves in the closet? Or is that just me?)

A few years ago a dear friend (who is much more organized than me) ordered one of these bags for each child in a color to coordinate with their duffels for trips to the lake. The bag rolls up and is packed into the duffel. Then, the kids have a place to sort their dirty clothes from clean while they are away. She says it has made coming home and tackling laundry so much easier after a tiring weekend away.

And the nylon version is sturdy enough to store ball equipment or other sporting gear. They are multi-purpose bags – my girls love to put their sleeping bags/pillows in them for spend the night parties. You are only limited by your imagination when it comes to the catch all. Let me know if you see a color you like!
