It has been a week! And the weather just has not helped. I find myself texting or calling other southerners in New England this time of year to find some company in my sadness over the just “not coming spring!”

Fortunately, when the weather is cold and misty there’s not much excuse for avoiding spring cleaning so I’ve head my head to the ground this week doing some much overdo purging, cleaning, organizing and even a little painting! I’d write a post on how to get your life better organized but I just still haven’t figured that one out!

Anyway, I thought I’d take a break and share a few inexpensive finds inspired by the warmer days I’m dreaming about that are just making me happy.

Sunglasses

Are you one of those people that hates to spend money on sunglasses? Maybe you lose them, break them or just like to have variety? I’m more of an investment girl when it comes to shades but Nordstrom has the BEST collection of  sunglasses right now in their BP line. I could be convinced to pick up a trendy pair or two. They mimic some very expensive, designer styles quite well and most are around $12. Perfect for the sunny season that is surely just around the corner, right?!?

Sandals

Speaking of the sunny season, I found the cutest pair of sandals that I had to share. Of course I’m a sucker for anything with a bow and these slide sandals from Target  are completely adorable! These have great reviews and the stripes are just everything to me. Would be a perfect, inexpensive addition to your summer shoe collection (comes in a classic black as well.)

Flip Flops

So technically, these aren’t cheap, when you consider they are flip flops. However, I’m on my second pair of Tory Burch wedges and I absolutely have lived in these for the past 3 summers. They are crazy comfortable, go with everything and the slight wedge makes your legs look just that much better in shorts or in your swimsuit by the pool. I have the khaki version and I swear I wear these 90% of the summer. Get some!

Basket Bags

Finally, it is clear that the basket bag, is THE bag for summer. Whether it’s straw, bamboo or a true wicker style, this bag seems to everywhere. I find it to be such a fun and unexpected accessory, adorned with tassels, pom poms or tied with a colorful scarf. And while some are more expensive than I want to spend, I think that this would be a pretty easy DIY. Just grab an inexpensive straw tote and hit up your local craft store for some adhesive glue and pom poms – voila!

Any must haves for summer you can share with me? I’m always looking for feedback!
