Classic New England…

I have always been more of a preppy girl than a cool one. I have friends that look so good in ripped jeans and a leather jacket but I never feel like I can pull it off. Clean lines, feminine shapes, classic stripes, ginghams, seersuckers…all of that is very me. And I’m totally ok with that.

So when I recently discovered a new to me brand, Kiel James Patrick, exclusively promoting nautically inspired clothing and accessories I was so excited to try them out. The brand itself has an incredibly compelling story – the New York Times wrote about how a savvy entrepreneur and his now wife created a brand that evokes all that is good about New England, almost exclusively through social media. Their imagery is so alluring – if you are on Instagram, I recommend checking out their feed!

As the brand has grown, stores have opened and the line of offerings has expanded to include everything from clothing to pet accessories, all with an overtly nautical theme. But their signature item is a rope bracelet and that’s what I decided to try.

Everything is American made, with headquarters in Rhode Island and I have to say, buying from them was a very unique and appealing experience. The invoice had a hand written note from the packager, the company followed up with an email to ensure I was happy with my order and the entire presentation, include the nautical knot around the box was impressive.

Normally, I’m one to shop for the deal, but I have to say, they have nailed the whole idea of a purchase experience, right down to the tissue paper! It was such a happy gift to receive.

I love my bracelet – it is exactly what I expected it to be and I am sure that I will wear it on repeat this summer. In fact, I’d love to have a few more! If you like Vineyard Vines, you should definitely check out Kiel James Patrick and if you do, let me know what you think!
